RELIGION IN NIGERIA

CAN THE KILLING STOP?
44 People Slaughtered In Borno Village

Killing in the name of religion has now assumed a dangerous dimension. One would have hope that the elders and religious leaders in northern part of the country would rise to the occasion and ensure their followers are kept in check. But that seem to be a wishful thinking at the moment as the killing continuous. Innocent lives are lost on a daily basis and all our leaders seem to care about is political correctness while the killings escalates.

Christians are been killed in their hundreds daily in Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Kano etc and the government deludes itself that the killings has nothing to do with religion. I think we need to openly tell ourselves the truth about what Islam really stands for and decide if we must continue to live together.

At the last count, we now have 9000 plus displaced persons living in a camp as refugees in their father land (Adamawa State). We love our Muslim brothers and pray that they will come to understanding and embrace the true path to God. However, the government should wake-up and defeat this killer Ideology of boko haram before Christians too begin to carry arms to defend themselves.
