ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?

Are You A Christian?

This days, a lot of people call themselves christian simply because they go to church on Sundays. The question we are asking ourselves today is, who really is a christian and how can we identify one?

"And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Acts 11:26"

To be a christian really means to be sent to deliver the good news of the Kingdom to all. The disciples were called Christians because they behaved like Christ. What are the things Christ did when He walked the earth? He preached and teach the Gospel of the Kingdom, He healed the sick and deliver the demon possessed, He feed the poor and granted us salvation etc.

The disciples in Antioch that were first called Christians, were engaged in similar activities, which reminded the people of what they probably have heard or seen about Christ and therefore referred to them as Christ likes.

When in the Kingdom, you are in the father and the father is in you through Christ Jesus, therefore, sin is far away from you, you are invisible because you are born of the Holy Spirit, you have dominion and powers and can exercise authority over principalities and powers. Those that curse you are cursed and those that blesses you are blessed. God confirms your words just as He did that of Elijah, Moses, Peter, Paul etc. You are an angel sent to deliver good news and help the needy. You teach about the good news and bring men and women into the Kingdom daily.

Reflect on the above, does it reflect the kind of life you are living right now. Jesus said if you see Him, you have seen the Father. Since we are in Him and He in us as Christians, can the world identify HIM (Christ) in our lives? You cannot call yourself a Christian while you indulge in sinful acts. A Christian must imbibe the following:

1. Love God above all.
2. Love his neighbor as himself.
3. Be willing to give to those that may not be able to repay.
4. Tell others about the Kingdom.
5.  Obey God commandments.

It may seem difficult, but you have been sanctified to carryout this responsibilities and live a godly life (John 17:19), you only need to trust Him to lead you on the right path.
